WTFLA is a pop-up wine tasting group founded in 2009 by Leah Hennessy Matteson with the express purpose of empowering "new" wine drinkers. 

Why do people feel like they have to be "experts" in order to be a wine drinker?

Nobody feels like they have to know music theory to talk about a song, or have a degree in film history to talk about a movie - and yet, through the years we've found that while a lot of folks drink wine, most feel as though they don't know "enough" about it. We want to change that.

The goal of every tasting is to empower our attendees. We educate each person as much or as little as they want over every glass of wine poured. We are always up for questions and never judge.
